The band recorded most of the album repertoire twice, starting with some aborted sessions with Tony Clarke as prospective producer in early July. The recordings are presented exactly as they appear on the original multitracks, engineered by Robin Thompson, with consecutive takes on each reel running seamlessly. This is part of the bundle of previously unreleased recordings from the band's studio sessions at Wessex Studios in July and August 1969.
